I'm sick today. Maybe I'll be sick tomorrow.

I went into work the other day and almost everyone had called out sick, again. I do believe they really were sick. Most of them sounded awful last week, left early and took off on the days where there was no supervision or work to do. WTF? I came in for that. I played on the computer... I actually got a suprising amount of work done.

So yesterday after lunch, I said to myself... "I feel like crap. I'm going home! I think I'll be sick tomorrow as well."

Sometime during the night I got it into my head I was going to visit the aquarium. I have no idea how that happened. It must have been a picture on someone's blog or a news site. I've been trying to get my best friend to go with me for ages... So this morning I woke up and said "Yep, you're going, you can do this." I drug myself to the platform, hopped on the train and called out sick.

"You're sick? cough cough sick? Really?" No, not really. You'll never guess where I am, I'm passing thru your town now. "Where the hell are you?" lol, on the train to Camden. "What the hell are you going to do there??" I'm going to the Aquarium!!

It's a shame so many people only see the views from the trains. It is depressing.

Without further ado.... TOO MANY PICTURES!!!!

Look! Hippos! *winks* There were lots of really cool birds there. Unfortunatly the birds were being bird-like and I didn't manage to get one darned decent picture of the giant gorgeous things.

Many stuffed colorful hippos. I thought about getting one *wink* but I don't know where to send it.

That's the Philadelphia skyline. It was full daylight there, no idea why it's so dark. *update* I know why it's so dark now. It's my monitor, looks normal everywhere else.*

This guy decided he liked me, he stuck around for quite a while.

Are those cool or what? I'm glad they came out so well. I took all these with my crappy razr phone btw, and apparently everyone has one. Spoiled kids, ten year olds with razr phones running around the aquarium. That's just not right.

Poisonous Frog! I lost the one picture. They were all neon. There was purple, red, orange and green as well. There's a red one in the upper left.

This Dude was really cool. He's HUGE. Him and his buddies pretty much chilled.

These are DEADLY PIRANAS!

Here's a Mudskipper. They were quite friendly and seemed to enjoy my peering at them.

The spiny lobsters were real freaky, as were the spider crabs. The crabs were doing some sort of dance.

Penguins are smart... they knew I was trying to take their picture, they kept teasing me.

This was huge. Steve Irwin was kinda stupid.

Here's a couple of sharks.

THE END. I'm exhausted. :-)

I assume you are feeling better?

Those pictures are very nice. But what aquarium are you referring to?

Ha, ha. I deleted myself. Here we go again.

No, I'm not feeling better really. I'm always miserable, in pain or something. I had a giant very gross pimple today. I've killed it. At least I didn't look as horrid as I did after my crash.

Dude, we've had an aquarium for ages. It was the beginning of the Camden renaissance. Camden is still pretty crappy but has made a few improvements. *casts spell on Arcturus.. "come and visit New Jersey, visit the nice places, visit Cape May, Jersey is not that awful" end's spell*

It's not a great aquarium. Everything was clean looking. From where I was originally standing in the hippo spot I got to see behind the "back door". From what I could see I think they're happy and well tended to. All the fish and things looked happy and healthy too.

The trainers did explain that they were rescue hippos, as were the birds in the exibit. They had been injured and couldn't be wild again. One of the most beautiful ones shit on me! No big deal. Having it almost land on me was cool as hell. (ummm... I was kind of where I wasn't supposed to be, but they said it was ok!)

Bryan -- I'm well aware of how pretty Cape May is, not to mention the Jersey shore overall. You forget how many years I spent in Sea Bright and Long Branch.

Now did the hippo or the bird shit on you? Hippos can spray that stuff kinda far.

I wasn't that close to the hippos! It's all very safe there, for both the animals and humans. I guess if you know the right people one could come in contact with hippo mess if they so desired. Ewww.

One of the ginoumous beautiful herons flying around needed to do the natural thing and I got a bit of it.

I can't find a pic of one quite like it (didn't look that hard), huge black and white one.
